We accept Visa and Mastercard, as well as payment by check or money order. All payment information is protected by a secure SSL encrypted connection.
Redeeming Gift Certificates
To redeem a gift certificate you can place your order and then select "Gift Certificate" as your payment method during the check out. You can mail a check if the order exceeds the gift certificate value or we will issue you a credit for any amount less than the value of the gift certificate.

Shipping Dates - 2012 Season
During the check out you can select your preferred shipping date from the dates listed below. We strongly recommend you choose a date that is after your last frost date unless you have a greenhouse or other protection. It is best to select a date closest to the time you will actually be planting your dahlias into the garden or pots. Dahlias can be planted from April-June in most parts of the country.

Orders are sent out on Mondays and arrive in the West on Tuesday or Wednesday; the Central U.S. on Wednesday or Thursday; and the East on Thursday.

Plant Shipping Method & Costs
Your plants will arrive via the U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail from your regular mail carrier. You don't need to be home or sign for the delivery - however, you must be able to open the package and handle the plants the evening they arrive.
The minimum shipping cost is $9.50. Orders that exceed this will be calculated based on actual weight. Most orders of 15-20 dahlias will cost in the range of $9.50-$11.00 for shipping. These are live plants so we go to extra lengths to insure safe arrival.
Local Customers Wanting to Pick Up Their Dahlias
We welcome locals to pick up their dahlia orders! However, web site orders automatically calculate and charge shipping. Email us as soon as you place your order so that we can deduct the shipping charge before charging your credit card. It is easy and not a problem.
Minimum Plant Orders
The minimum plant order that we can accept is $30.00, not including tax or shipping. The minimum does not apply to book or Dahlia Seed orders.
Book Orders
Books are shipped all year, separately from plants. They are shipped immediately upon receipt of credit card orders or after your check has cleared our bank. There is no minimum order for books.
Discounts
We will give you a 10% discount on plant orders over $150.00, not including tax or shipping. This is automatically calculated during the check out. Gift Certificates, Collections, Dahlia Seed, and books are not discounted.
We routinely ship an "extra" plant for every 10 plants ordered. This will be something something similar to the original order.
Substitutions/Refunds
We rarely fall short of meeting orders. We've met 95% of orders over the last three years. However, during the order process you will be asked if you will allow substitution and to offer some suggestions. If we are forced to substitute we are very generous and will send plants of greater value. If you prefer no substitution or do not let us know you will receive a refund check with your order.
Cancellations
Orders cancelled six weeks before the shipping date will be refunded with a 10% handling charge. Orders cancelled less than six weeks before the shipping date will be refunded with a 50% handling fee.
International Orders
We cannot ship plants, seeds, or flowers outside the U.S. at present.
